Every ten years....there's an employment crisis

For the last while, we've learned that we should expect a financial crisis about every ten years.

1990 - US recession and significant employment impacts globally

2001 - the threat of terrorism and the economic shock triggered by 9/11

2009 - the financial crisis triggered by subprime mortgage industry

We fully expect in a few years time that there will be some other major economic crisis that will have a tremendous impact on the workers of the world.

You should try to be prepared for this kind of shock. Get your career in shape now.

There's a Brexit afoot.

No matter your political persuasion, there's a truth to Brexit. It's not going to be smooth.

The big opportunity promised will take some hard work to realise, and there will be some hiccoughs on the way.

As a participant in this economy, you've got to make sure you've got your career in shape, so that it's resilient in case of any shocks.

Supply chain shocks? Hospitality shocks? Labour shortages or oversupply in your sector?

All these mean that your current company could go out of business or need a restructure. And that means you might need to find new opportunity.

Get your career in shape with JOBZ.

We at JOBZ think that the whole job hunt and career management marketplace is poorly served. Why else do people's shoulders slump when they think about making a career move?

We'd love your thoughts on the pain in the market. Do register here on our (pseudo)scientific market research survey!
